April, 2007: Executive Search Partners gives seminar at MCWT Geek Mythology event

Gary Robertson and Gary Erickson presented two sessions on "11 Steps for a Highly Successful Job Search" at the Michigan Council of the Women in Technology's (MCWT) second annual Symposium, titled "Geek Mythology: Career Lessons from the Goddesses of IT," on Tuesday, April 3, at Lawrence Technological University (LTU.) Attended by over 200 people, the event was a rousing success! It provided vital, non-technical business skills and inspiration for university students and corporate professionals, while offering a chance to meet with high-profile keynote speakers, panelists and workshop leaders.

Executive Search Partners announced that 2006 was a record year for its search practice. Gary Erickson, Managing Partner said, "2006 was a record year for Executive Search Partners. Our billings grew 250%. Growth came from expansion of our search services nationwide, and the addition of senior level Information Technology consulting services."

Gary Erickson was a featured guest on WJR's Internet Advisor on December 9, 2006. Gary discussed the IT job market in Michigan and his recommendations about how to find your next job.

The Detroit Chapter of SIM is one of SIM International's largest chapters (www.simnet.org). SIM membership is limited to senior level IT practitioners and educators. Gary Robertson was elected President of the Detroit Chapter for 2007-2008. This is Gary's second time as a SIM chapter President having also been the Indianapolis chapter President.
